Expelled opened in theaters yesterday. I haven't gone to see it and have no intention of doing so, I will either wait till its available online for free before watching it. I say this not only because i rarely see movies in theaters but because I would not want a single penny of mine to goto those nutbags.
As a result of the movie opening yesterday there is a huge thread on Pharyngula last I checked almost 600 comments., I'm still not done reading it. So far the discussion is basically just all the old tired and easily dismantled creationist arguments. its too bad really, I was hoping to learn something new.
I will make a confession here, I secretly wish to be convinced that life on earth really was the product of design. Don't misunderstand me here I would not want the horror that is the god of the Christian bible or many other silly texts like the Koran to be real. But a truly benevolent creator who actually did care about us all and did not judge would be something to marvel. Perhaps something like FSM a god that didn't take itself to seriously.
Anyway gonna go barbecue a bit perhaps another post later.

I think I've gotten to the point that I'm not curious about THE BIG QUESTIONS until new Evidence is uncovered. I really do enjoy watching how people react and debate and where the line of thinking leads them but that's a fascination with people in general.
I let others study and research and I'll wait for the ANSWER when it is revealed.

I really wish there were "answers".
I do believe we are here for a reason, which I know is a contradiction me being basically an Atheist.
Holding two mutually exclusive views in ones mind at the same time is nothing new for humans though.
